It is a grey, thick paste used together with flax/hemp for the tightening of threaded pipework joints in hot and cold water systems and low-pressure steam systems (max. 140°C and 8 bar).
The sealing paste facilitates installation work, keeps the connections tight and makes possible reopening later easier yet provides a large adjusting flexibility as the pipe joints remain tight when loosened, contrary to e.g. thread seal tape.
We developed this product as replacement for Unipak jointing compound as per our customer’s request.
